What the Faux!!! MS Firefox ???
At first I think that was some kinda trick or if it's real .. the world's gonna end tomorrow. It's the LIR's New Browser Post from the first place and I clicked the page .. jeez .. damn you LIR. Go check mozilla.org, and some other news site around the net.
This one sorta like Winblows back in 1997. For those who dunno what da hell am I talking .. go check out this site .. and read around ( if u dare to go .. ) I do not recommand anything to be downloaded from that site.
Some ppl might think this is fun, some ppl might think this is a joke ... yeah .. it's hell of a joke .. but not funny to me. It's a security threat, what if somebody download these programs and use it on their PC and hijacked ... oh .. it's the same old story for a long time.
I was a huge fan of Mozilla, even I mainly use Opera. I installed Mozilla, Bugzilla, Firefox at the same time ( plus ThunderBird I hate Outlook ). I hope ms and mozilla will take necessary precaution or action against that site. Because some ppl actually download the program thinking it was genuine. They said it's sorta like IE7 but nobody gives grantee of it's intention. That fake site tried to collect donations according to this news.
I posted it as a joke in my blog, Kalvin. I don't even know there is an exe to download .. Sorry if it is misleading.
What I first saw the site I thought that was a joke site too. But after looking some part of the site .. I feeled that was more than a joke site. My friend, like you, an IT Specialist should let the ppl know about this. I believe there's a lot more ppl reading ur blog daily.
